Many people decided, like me, to visit Table Rock on lovely spring day. But not everyone was going to the summit, where I revisited the amazing view from this landmark of the Golden Corner.

Hot and humid, but that’s not unusual in South Carolina in the summer. However, I went to Tamassee Knob all the same.

Lake Jocassee can be a serene place to sit and read after walking the Raven Rock Trail, but only until all the motorboats find the cove beneath one’s aerie of solitude.

Surprise discoveries of great places to hike or walk are fantastic, and the Clemson Experimental Forest became a regular afternoon destination.

It was a frustrating hike to a very out-of-the-way small trail, but it was definitely worth it for the view of Big Bend Falls.
