  My last hike as a citizen of South Carolina was just a small walk through Town Creek Park in Pickens. Maybe not the best marked hike, but it allowed me one last walk in the woods of the Golden Corner.

  A hike up to Hen Wallows Falls in the Great Smoky Mountains gives me a taste of what hikes would be available to me in my new Tennessee environs.

• 

  Rainbow Falls in Jones Gap State Park is easily one of my most favorite waterfall hikes and I enjoyed sharing it with colleagues from the Clemson Libraries.

  I found out people working for the Clemson Libraries love to hike, so I decided that we should all go to Miuka Falls together by taking the Winding Stairs Trail.

  Many people decided, like me, to visit Table Rock on lovely spring day. But not everyone was going to the summit, where I revisited the amazing view from this landmark of the Golden Corner.

• 

  On a chilly spring morning, the Frank Coggins Trail is a great place to go for a little serenity.

• 

  Station Cove Falls, a South Carolina hike at the Oconee Station Historic Site, was my destination after an unusually snowy February.

• 

  The year 2015 was a busy year, filled with transition, so this was the only post I made that year. But the Sourwood Trail is very close to where I grew up, so it was a fitting walk.

• 

  I returned to Hidden Falls in the winter to see if the waterfall would be more spectacular than my first hike to this location in Oconee State Park.

• 

  Paris Mountain, in South Carolina outside of Greenville, is home to many great hikes, including the Sulphur Springs Trail, a 3.5-mile loop. A perfect hike for the fall.
