  On a lovely early spring day, I took a few trails through the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, including the Coldspring Branch and Jones Gap Trails.

• 

  A wonderful hike, multiple waterfalls, including Raven Cliff Falls, and a llama. Just another day in North Georgia?

• 

  It was a good day in the Fant’s Grove Wilderness to watch one’s feet, but make sure to be wearing a good pair of boots.

• 

  I spent a frigid, icy morning on the Tamassee Knob trail in Oconee State Park in upstate South Carolina and the view from the top is amazing.

• 

  Amicalola Falls is a very tall cascade in northern Georgia, and my brother and I got a view from the top, not by the trails, because I got us lost, but by the convenient observation deck we could drive to.

• 

  A winter hike in odd weather led me to Raven Cliff Falls in Caesar’s Head State Park in the Mountain Bridge Wilderness area of South Carolina.

• 

  I began 2013 with a short hike along the Natural Bridge Trail in the Keowee-Toxaway State Natural Area.

• 

  I finished 2012 with a slippery traipse along the trail along Glassy Mountain, just outside of Pickens, South Carolina.

• 

  I finally made it to the Sulphur Springs Trail in Paris Mountain in time to complete the four-mile hike.

• 

  The pictures I took on the Frank Scoggins Trail this winter gave me the opportunity to try out some photo-editing techniques.
