It was a good day in the Fant’s Grove Wilderness to watch one’s feet, but make sure to be wearing a good pair of boots.

A winter hike in odd weather led me to Raven Cliff Falls in Caesar’s Head State Park in the Mountain Bridge Wilderness area of South Carolina.

Table Rock is a hike that certainly got my blood pumping but the views along the way and at the top are more than worth the effort.

Good hike for wildflowers and fungi, but the falls weren’t the best I’ve seen because of low water.

Finding Long Creek Falls required me to take a chance on what I thought might be the road to the trailhead, but wasn’t obvious. Luckily, I found the way and had the opportunity to experience this outstanding waterfall.

So, this past weekend, I went back to Oconee State Park, in South Carolina. The Old Waterwheel Trail leads to the remains of a waterwheel used to pump water.
